AN ALTERNATIVE

I am so use to ordering myself a caffeine drink from Starbucks that I don't usually even think about it and it's become routine. I wake up on the weekdays and make a coffee or on the way to work I find myself with a Starbucks drink... funnily enough on my days off I don't! Coffee is good for you but reasonable amounts. So to change things up on a healthier note since watching 'Hungry For Change' I've decided to go for something different.

I am fortunate enough for my work to be in a great location with healthy choices surrounding me. Just a few minutes away is a 'Crussh' store which provides fresh juices, combo juices or smoothies! Just my thing!

Today I decided to go with the 'Detox Cactus' ^_^ It sounds nasty but it's actually quite refreshing.

If you can get your hands on a healthy option give it a try for a week or more and see if it makes a difference. Have you switch things up and chosen an alternative? What healthy drinks do you drink or recommend? xoxo

OPEN ARMS... WITH BRAUN SILK EPIL 5 EPILATOR

Beware this post may be TMI for some of you readers!

The sun is now out to play here in London and now is a great time to invest in taking care of your skin ALL OVER as more skin will be on show than usual.

One of the steps to making sure you are ready for spring/summer is to remove all unwanted hair along with exfoliation and a good lotion/cream. Some ladies may remove hair all over and some may only do certain areas. As my own preference I remove my hair on my legs, armpits and down there on my lady friend... You know ladies!

To remove hair in these areas I do not use the same method for all as some methods are more suited for one particular area. It all really depends on your type of body hair, your hair growth, the sensitivity of the skin in that area and most importantly what you are most comfortable with.

For example I shave my legs as hair in that area is very fine and sparse, I wax my lady friend at a spa and for my armpits I usually pluck! As of recently I have been finding it difficult to pluck as it takes a great amount of time that I do not have.

So as a result I have been contemplating on using an epilator. My partner surprised me with the Braun Silk Epil 5... I found it hiding in my drawer ^_^ he loves to hide presents from me to find!! Love him! Okay back on track... at first when trying it out, I was mortified by the sound it made! It was like a mini lawnmower type of sound and that scared the S*** out of me. I sat in my chair for a good 10 minutes or so trying to put it in contact with my skin.

It wasn't too bad at all!!! Once you get over the sound it makes then your set to go! It is a weird sensation and not to what I am use to. Usually I endure the pain by one strand at a time but with the epilator its just a bit more harsh but real quick... It didn't hurt me at all. However, if it is your first time it may be a shock to your system unless you can take pain like a pro. I definitely recommend trying an epilator as it plucks right down to the root and it is a very quick method without all the fuss e.g shaving foam, water etc.

BIRCHBOX 1ST ORDER

So I gave into one of the subscription boxes and chose Birchbox! I received my 1st order a few days ago and was so excited!

The reason for choosing to subscribe was down to trying out new products that I usually do not reach out for. There are so many effective high end products out there but they usually come with a price... and big one at that! So instead of purchasing new expensive products to test out and spending time to research... Birchbox brings them to your doorstep.

IT'S NEVER TO LATE

Our long awaited spring seems to be finally here in London!

Now we can start wearing our spring colours and 'come out of hibernating' from wearing our dark and dull colours. When the sun comes out to play I feel its energy and warmth which makes my day worth it. Immediately you feel everyone's mood around you lift up and everyone seems to be much happier!

Last week I was going through my nail polishes and I found the statement polish that I use to wear and was my 'go to' colour 2-3 years ago. Even now to this day I love that colour. It is by Revlon and they did not continue selling them in stores. So I thought to go check online and see whether or not someone had one to sell.

Luckily I found it!!! I absolutely love this colour and have not found a dupe since! It is in between a soft pink, peach and coral colour.

Tangle Teezer: The original
Dove: Hair therapy leave-in spray
VO5: Miracle mist
Head & Shoulders: 2in1 classic
Superdrug: Cream Jar x2

I GAVE IN -_-

Last year when I was living in San Diego my cousin mentioned a monthly subscription of beauty products and I was oblivious to the 'new thing' in at the time. Both my cousin & I were looking to subscribe and only now I gave in.

I had to decide between Glossy Box or Birch Box... I went for the one my cousin had mentioned which is Brich Box. I'm hoping that I would be pleased but if all fails at least I can unsubscribe anytime I want to. Lets see how it goes.

A WOMAN ON THE GO...

I have been currently using OPI 'Nail Envy' Original & it does work really well however being a working lady and carrying this around as well as your nail colour and top coat in your handbag/makeup bag can be a bit too much.

My week can be so packed up that I often find it a struggle to make time to pamper myself. I constantly meet clients or have viewings for my building so I need to always look presentable from head to toe.

I try find any possible time to paint my nails, from my journey to work, on my lunch break and cheekily yes... At my desk. With bearing that in mind I found this polish from OPI called 'Start To Finish' and it is a base coat, top coat, plus a nail strengthener. Hopefully this makes it much easier and less time consuming.

Do you find it a struggle to pamper yourself? What methods do you do in order to save time? Xoxo

GOING HOME TO THE MOTHERLAND!!!

These past few days it's been crazy trying to sort out when everyone can go back to the Philippines. Finally everyone has more or less booked their annual leave and booked their tickets! Whoop whoop I cannot wait to go back to the Philippines to see my family. The last time I went to P.I was 10 years ago! It's been way too long.

I was born here in London but was raised up in the Philippines. My parents were working in London at the time and earning a living for themselves but most importantly for a better future for my older brothers as well as myself. Whilst I was in the Philippines my aunts and uncles raised me especially my grandparents... my other mothers and fathers. They raised me up as their own and love them for spoiling me... I LOVE YOU ALL & THANK YOU! I cannot wait to go back ^_^

I am proud of my background and upbringing... for that it makes me who I am today. When I see young people of 'today' most times I shake my head in disgust and disbelief of their behaviour... most of all their mannerisms towards elders or just everyday people they interact with. Put it this way... I am glad my parents were on my back to be a better person, to respect others and yes, I am even proud to get a slipper whipped across my ass when I did wrong LOL!!! It came to the point where most of the time, all my parents had to do was say my name in a VERY stern voice and boyyyyy did I know that I had to stop doing whatever wrong I was committing at the time.
