Tuesday, 05 February 2013 Soft Smokey Eye Shadow:
Now lets begin...
Use a large shader brush and apply the colour 'Sin' on two thirds of your eyelid (sorry only shown one eyelid done) |
Now with a angled shading brush pop the colour 'Creep' right in the outer corner of your eye. This time only blend the colour in your crease going inwards. Blending is they key to smokey eyes. |
Use a clean tapered brush and blend all colours from the outer corner to the middle. It should look something like this. |
Using the colour 'Buck' again, get a small pencil brush and apply on the bottom of your water line from the outer corner to the middle. |
You can use the colour 'Sin' once more or 'Vrigin' and with another pencil brush pop that colour at the inner corner of your eyes. That area of your eye is called your tear duct. |
To make your eyes look large or to hide your tired eyes use a skin tone or white pencil eyeliner on your water line. |
Now you can apply your eyeliner on top of your eyelid. It doesn't have to be winged like mine. |
To make sure your eyes are not top heavy, apply eyeliner right underneath your water line in the outer corners. |
Now apply mascara on your top and bottom lashes. Curl your lashes if needed. BOOM you're done ^_^ |
Depending on your preference you can add false lashes to give it more va va vooom lol!!! Hope this helps xoxo |
Everybody has their own preference or technique on how to do a soft smokey eye shadow look. Again I’m NOT STATING that the technique that I will be showing is THE BEST but what works really well for me and that I am most comfortable with.

Wednesday, 03 January 2013 Cleaning Makeup Brushes:
Everybody has their own preferences on how to clean their brushes.
I’m NOT STATING that the method that I will be showing is THE BEST but what has
worked really well for me.
Try to wash your brushes at night and allow them to dry so that
the brushes will be ready for use the next day. Make sure that the brushes are
thoroughly dried before use as it could affect application.
What You Will Need:
The majority people
use mild/ sensitive soap, baby shampoo, even professional brush cleaners and
those are very good choices. However I use antibacterial wash which removes
oil, pigment, dirt and most importantly bacteria.
The dish washing
antibacterial wash can be slightly harsh to the brushes and may strip the hairs
of its natural oils so to recondition the hairs on the brushes I use extra
virgin oil.
This method is not
only effective but also inexpensive too!!! Here we go...
Use a plate and drizzle the antibacterial washing liquid onto
a plate
Now pour some of the extra virgin oil |
It should look
something like this
Grab a brush and swirl it into the mixture of washing soap and
extra virgin oil
|
Swirl the brush onto the palm of your hand so that the mixture gets
to all the dirt
There are two ways to dry your brushes:
If you prefer to use a professional brush cleaner I recommend Parian Spirit.
Monday, 11 June 2012 Simple Eyeliner:
Every single person
has different types of eyelids therefore depending on what type of eyelid you have
your eyeliner method may vary. Here I will be showing you what the types of
eyelids people may have and this is very important when doing makeup for
others.
a)
Single eyelid, no crease.
b) Double eyelid.
c) Broken or non-continuous crease.
d) Partial crease.
e) Multiple eyelid creases.
f) Double eyelid of nasally-tapered crease shape and some widening on the outer end.
g) Double eyelid with parallel crease.
h) Caucasian eyelid crease (semi-lunar shape with widest separation in mid-section).

According to the diagram the eyelid that I have is
letter F
(source: http://www.asianeyelid.com/faq.html)
When applying eyeliner many people pull on the eye but if
possible try not to. Apply to your natural shape... your natural shape isn't
someone pulling your eye to the side! Another reason why I don't like pulling
slightly on the eye is that it can cause sagging over a long period of time especially
for those who apply eyeliner nearly every day and do it that way.
Apply black eyeliner or the colour of your choice at the inner corner of your eye on your upper lash line.
Apply again at outer corner of your eye. Depending on what
type of eyelid you have it may very... I have a nasally-tapered crease with
some widening on the outer end so the eyeliner applied is thicker than in the
inner corner of my eye.
This is what it will look
like when my eye is opened. Can you see how it follows with the natural shape
of my eyelid?
Then fill in the gap from inner corner to outer
corner of your eyelid.
If you want winged eyeliner make a triangle at the outer corner of your eye then fill in.
To elongate the winged liner
make sure it follows through with your lower lash line like so.
Apply white or flesh coloured eyeliner on your bottom waterline to open out your eye giving the illusion for bigger eyes.
Apply black eyeliner at the bottom of your lower lash line
but only at the outer corner. You can apply the liner on the whole of your
lower lash line if you wish to but it closes the eye in... It works best with a
dramatic looks.
Smudge the eyeliner on the bottom corner of your lower lash
line to make it more subtle and you’re done!
