BEAUTY SO CLEAN

Some of my readers may know I have a slight OCD when it comes to hygiene. When it comes to my makeup products and tools, I have to make sure they are correctly sanitised especially because I would want the best for my clients!

I use 'Beauty So Clean' on my pro makeup products and tools. The world's 1st antibacterial spray and wipes for cosmetics!!!

"Whether a professional makeup artist, or a makeup lover, you want to ensure that each product you put directly on the face, lips and eyes is clean, safe and bacteria-free. All makeup products gather bacteria from the oil on our skin, our fingers (especially when we use them for application) and coughing or sneezing during makeup application. Some of these bacteria can lead to eye irritations and infections, skin irritations and even encourage acneic breakouts."

NEW BREATHABLE NAIL POLISH... IS IT HALAL?

I love reading other blogs and one of my lovely ladies has a blog of her own... she lives and breathes nails and I highly recommend www.sepidelicious.com

From reading her blog the article that stuck out most to me was 'Is it Halal?' and from there I discovered the new breathable nail polish and have done a bit of reasearch of my own.

“For religious Muslim ladies who religiously pray five times a day, wearing nail polish can be a bit of hassle. Prior to praying you'll need to follow a process using water to wash your face, hands, arms and feet as you'll need to be clean before praying. Wearing a polish is forbidden as it will prevent the water to get through to your nail bed.

Wojciech Inglot was the answer to a health conscious and Muslim fashionista's prayer! His Halal proofed nail polish range have been formulated in a way allowing the water and oxygen to pass through and onto the nail plate calling it the Inglot O2M, which stands for water and oxygen.
Alhamdulillah! (Translating praise to God)”

Inglot began his research approximately four years ago to develop the formula for the breathable enamel, which uses a polymer similar to that in the newest generation of contact lenses.

Inglot mentioned that the chemical formula is 'tricky' and 'quite expensive' to produce, and that the profit margin on O2M is not high. Nevertheless, he said he was determined to create a breathable polish knowing that consumers are ever more health conscious and expecting them to welcome a varnish that would let the nail breathe.

One of the research methods was putting the O2M nail polish and a standard polish on coffee filters, letting them both dry, and then planting water drops on top of each and seeing if the moisture seeped through. The results were the traditional nail polish it did not, but it went through the O2M polish and even wet a second filter below.

Mr Inglot, who sadly died last month, developed something ground breaking for the Muslim female population. RIP Mr Inglot.

A SUMMER COMMUTE

With the sun blazing hot we Londoners know how much it feels like a oven when commuting on TFL especially on the trains or buses!

The main rule for traveling especially on the underground is to bring cold WATER... that is a must!

Another thing to help myself keep cool on the train is my hand held fan. I know some may think that it looks so 'fresh' as in 'fresh off the boat' hahaha but I don't give a monkeys LOL! There's me on the train using my fan feeling cool and others looking so flustered and agitated by the heat. On occasions many seats become available halfway through my journey and I often find people sitting next to me when I use my fan so they too can feel it slightly... how cheeky huh? LOL I don't mind.

For everyday makeup I would have to recommend people to keep it simple, minimal & waterproof!

- Swap foundation for a BB or CC cream
- Swap an eyebrow powder or pencil for a waterproof eyebrow filler or use a sealer
- Use pro-long or waterproof concealer
- Try avoiding eyeliner otherwise use waterproof eyeliner
- Waterproof mascara
- Swap lipsticks for tinted lip balms or simply use one with no tint

BREW BOX... BUBBLE TEA

Last weekend I went to a new bubble tea place called BREW BOX situated in the heart of Angel, Islington's high street. If you are seeking for a bubble tea place check out this new spot.

120 Islington High Street
London N1 8EG
Area: Angel, Islington
020 7359 0222
Owners: Albert Yanit & Eric Payumo

I definitely think that the location is great and the owners themselves are really lovely and helpful. If you are stuck on what flavour to choose they will certainly recommend from one of their 15+ flavours. The place itself is cosy, modern, new and fun with a touch of street art on their walls. The atmosphere is definitely somewhere you can go to hang out with your friends and have a beverage or snack.

Without a doubt I see room for growth but seeing what has been achieved so far since their opening only 2 months ago, I can see it becoming a great success!!!

My Recommendations:
More entertainment (more games, TV etc)
Brew Box deck of cards for shop & for purchase
Air Con (due to be done)
Advertisement (leaflets/flyers, man dressed as bubble tea cup on high street LOL etc)
Loyalty Cards

From speaking to the owners they have great ideas coming your way! Ideas/plans on seating outside, entertainment, advertisement, events... most importantly AC because of this extremely hot summer I was sweating up in that place & of course a lot more!!! Great job guys keep up the good work!

WEEKEND WITHDRAWALS

If only the weekend lasted longer so we could get more things done or redo the things we didn't do. Summer has definitely arrived on London!

People were either at a BBQ, out to the beach, out in the park, or even just chilling at home watching the Wimbledon game. Congratulations to Andy Murray!! A weekend to remember for sure!

POISONOUS LIPS: LEAD IN LIPSTICK?!

Sorry readers... I have been M.I.A again -_- I have been really busy with work and with family as of lately.

Since I have been really busy this month I was actually thinking of starting to do my week in pictures 'tag'. Blogers are currently taking random pictures within the week and posting it up so readers can have a brief view of what has been going on in their lives.

Now going back on track...

Quite a while back one of friends had asked me if I knew anything about lead being in liptick! I heard the fiasco about it a while back but never researched into it. Lead builds in the body over a period of time and can cause some major health concerns.

Reports shown it is linked to learning and behavioural disorders, miscarraige, reduced fertility and hormonal changes. After long exposure it can cause damage to your kidneys. Pregnant women and young children are most vulnerable!!!

She had then mentioned a method on how you can check.
